How Our Room Rates Work To Fit Your Needs!
Since changing to a purely LODGING Inn we changed up our pricing plans to try to provide the best of the best of what we had learned over the last several years operating as a bed and breakfast. Here is what is behind our thinking and pricing models for our rooms:
On all of our rooms you will now see a charge for the room or booking stay. This is purely the lodging fee for the room/house accommodation (top line).
For all but one room (The Turner Suite) there is a minimum two night stay. This is because it costs more to have a guest stay with us per room for one night than it does two. We therefore can pass on savings for two nights to guests. Recognizing that some guests need just one night of accommodation we set aside the lovely Turner Suite for that purpose. It does indeed book at a higher per diem rate for the reasoning above. IF THIS PRESENTS A PROBLEM FOR YOU GIVE US A CALL AT 518 966 4100 AND WE WILL ATTEMPT TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCE.
When booking through some third parties, you may also see a line for a cleaning fee. This includes not only cleaning but the insurance fee we pay to our partner company, Redawning, for insuring you during your stay. It covers damage and liability and is common practice with airbnb type providers. The cleaning fee covers the cost of exactly what it implys. Ensuring the room and Inn is always kept to the standards we all expect. Again, this is common practice in airbnb type providers.
Tax line. Not a thing has changed. The governor still wants his cut.
One other very important thing has changed. As mentioned on our front page we will now be donating (Effective 10/01/19) $5 for each room reservation we receive to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Holly and I truly believe things happen for a reason and the Inn is our vehicle for helping this great cause that has touched our lives and those of so many others!
